As you all know 1.6 has now been released, including some new maps and updated originals. I shall have to soon take some new screenshots for the HMD.

Meanwhile, the Half-Life 1 mapping scene is practically non existent so don't expect any new maps soon! I've been doing some mapping, but for Quake 2 :D

The old Hostile Map Database site was deleted along with the HI forums, so I was given the opportunity to create a new website... And here it is - less bloated and more functional than the last one. I've used PHP and MySQL this time around (instead of Perl and text files).

I won't be adding comment support now, although they were nice to read, bots were trying to hack the website through them and I used to have to delete comments regularly.

Support for SwUpdata is now non existent (the software which would allow you to update HI automatically).

All mirrors will now be supplied by websites such as FilePlanet and GameSurge because I won't have enough webspace myself and other peoples' webspace always closes down eventually leaving broken mirrors.

All the Hostile Intent maps from the old website (minus one or two) have been added already. If you want to submit a map, please click the Submit button at the top!
